Paying online is convenient and easy if you can trust who you're shopping with and they support the ways you like to pay. As shoppers ourselves, it's our goal to make sure you have confidence in your entire shopping experience with Tasteport, knowing your payments are secure and your delivery will be great.
Payment Options Available
We accept all major Canadian Credit & Debit Cards, including:
VISA, Mastercard, VISA Debit, Debit Mastercard and American Express.

Please note that while we accept international card payment options, they are not recommended as any authorization, hold releases or refunds may take longer time for your issuing card company to settle. We recommend using North American credit or debit cards for faster and more efficient payment processing

In the future, we also plan to expand our payment options to include Apple Pay, Google Pay & others. Let us know if you have any suggestions for new payment methods anytime.

Keeping Payments Secure

Measures to keep payments safe and secure

We keep your payment info safe with transactions processed through what are known as SSL Conections.
 
SSL stands for Secure Socket Layer, which helps make things like credit card transactions secure by keeping the payment information private while being transferred through processes like encryption.

All payment data going through our payment processor has an extremely high level of encryption, known as AES-256 Bank Level Encryption. In addition, our processor is PCI Compliant Level 1, which meets the most rigorous industry standards for Payment Card safety. When you save cards, they are stored on your phone instead of with us, as an added layer of security. In addition, the Tasteport site is also run under HTTPS for increased safety, letting you feel confident every time you grocery shop.

When do my payments get confirmed?

After submitting your order, you will receive an SMS confirming we've received it and will also see details like the Pickup or Delivery time you've chosen. You can view the order in "My Orders" in-app.
 
At this point, your card is temporarily authorized for a slightly higher pending charge (not an actual charge). This is in case of weight changes with items like produce, additional items you may want to add or substitutions occurring if anything is out of stock.

Once the store has finished preparing your order, your card will then be charged for the correct amount and you will receive an Emailed Receipt with the total, as well as access to the same Receipt in-App. You'll always be charged the correct amount, including automatically getting refunded for any items that were out of stock or differences in weight.
